The Village

Jimera de Líbar is a small white village in the Guadiaro Valley, in the heart of the Serranía de Ronda, just 30 minutes from Ronda. With its cobbled streets, river and natural surroundings, it is the perfect destination to disconnect. Surrounded by mountains and holm oaks within the Sierra de las Nieves National Park and Biosphere Reserve, the village retains its Andalusian essence with a 16th-century church, ancient fountains and neighbours who still tend their vegetable gardens. It is an ideal base for touring the white villages of the Serranía de Ronda. In summer, the natural pools of the Guadiaro River invite you to cool off under the trees. At night, the starry sky and absolute silence complete a unique experience.

Where are the holiday cottages located?

Our three rural houses — Taramas, Gaudí and Torre — are in Jimera de Líbar, a white village in the heart of the Serranía de Ronda (Málaga), in the Guadiaro Valley. You are just 20-30 minutes by car or train from Ronda, making the houses an ideal base to explore the whole region.

How do I get to Jimera de Líbar?

Jimera de Líbar has its own station on the Algeciras-Ronda-Antequera railway line, so you can arrive without a car. By car you are 1h 30min from Málaga airport, 30 min from Ronda and about 45-60 min from the Costa del Sol beaches. The station is a few minutes' walk from the village centre.

What is there to do in the Serranía de Ronda?

The area is a paradise for hiking (Gran Senda de Málaga, Caminito del Rey), mountain biking along the Vía Verde greenway, canyoning and via ferrata climbing. In summer you can swim in the natural pools of the Guadiaro River. You are also a short trip from Ronda, the white villages and birdwatching (vultures and eagles).

Casa Taramas is ideal for up to 3 guests, while Casa Gaudí and Casa Torre each sleep up to 6 people, with 3 bedrooms. They are perfect for couples, families or groups of friends looking to disconnect in nature.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out is until 11:00. If you need flexibility with the times, just write to us and we will do our best to accommodate your arrival.

Are pets allowed and is there parking?

Ask us about pets when booking; we consider each case. The village has free street parking near the houses. All houses have WiFi, a barbecue and a terrace or roof terrace with valley views.
